Internal Utilities Worker 12-25

Reports To: Utilities Supervisor, Walter Lawrence
Location: Hamilton Facility – Atlanta, GA
Pay Range: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour

Available Shifts

• Shift A: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday — 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM (Off: Thursday & Friday)


• Shift B: Tuesday–Saturday — 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM (Off: Sunday & Monday)


• Shift C: Friday–Tuesday — 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM (Off: Wednesday & Thursday)

Job Summary

A National Transit, LLC / MARTA Mobility is seeking dedicated, reliable, and hardworking Utilities Workers to join our team. This department plays a critical role in ensuring every bus in our fleet is fueled, cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service each day.

This is not a sit-down position — the work is hands-on, active, and vital to daily operations. We need individuals who take pride in their work, are dependable, and understand the importance of safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Fuel all vehicles and replenish necessary fluids.


• Log and record fueling and replenishment information accurately.


• Safely drive, maneuver, and park vehicles.


• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning in fueling areas and facilities.


• Clean and detail bus interiors and exteriors to company standards.


• Assist with additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Valid driver’s license.


• Ability to operate and maneuver various types of vehicles.


• Strong attention to detail and reliability.


• Basic maintenance knowledge preferred.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.


• Must be in good standing — no recent disciplinary actions within the last six (6) months, strong attendance, and a positive attitude.

Important Notes

• All selected candidates will be placed on a 30-day probationary period.
  At the end of that period, HR and the department manager will review performance and determine if the employee will:
  
  
  
  1. Remain in the Utilities department permanently,
  
  
  2. Return to their previous position, or
  
  
  3. Be subject to further employment review if expectations are not met.
  
  
  
  


• Before any transfer, HR will confer with your current manager regarding performance, attendance, and attitude.


• This role is for individuals who are ready to work — not to sit, idle, or treat the position as downtime. Employees are expected to actively contribute throughout their shifts.
