Intervention Navigator (IN) (Full-time, 40 hours) Non-exempt
BUILD, Inc. (Broader Urban Involvement and Leadership Development) is presently seeking a committed, self-motivated, and innovative individual to join our team. BUILD is a nationally respected gang intervention, violence prevention, and youth development organization based on Chicago’s West Side. Since 1969, BUILD has worked to save lives and mentor young people who live in the city’s most challenged neighborhoods. The Intervention Navigator (IN) will coordinate and provide support and services to youth and their families through the process of assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating options and services required to meet the client’s service plan needs and goals around mental, physical and general wellbeing. Through advocacy, communication and resource navigation, the Intervention Team will promote equality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes helping find services needed and monitor progress through the completion of service plans. Services include but are not limited to: connecting clients with additional critical resources, such as mental health care, medical care, legal services, victim’s rights and/or compensation, interpretation services, workforce development and financial education. Emotional support navigating the criminal justice system, including police departments, legal services and the courts. Services take place at BUILD, in the community and other locations as needed. The (IN) reports directly to the Manager of Intervention Services (MIS)
