Case Mix: Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, STEMI

EMR System: Athena Meditech
Specialty Backup Available: Yes, large Cardiology group with 5 IC, 4 NPs, 2 CV surgeons, 1 EP, 3 General Cardiologists
Support Staff: MAs: 1, PA/NPs: 2

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: No
Temporary Privileges Available: No

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC required (Eligible)
Licenses: None
Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide interventional cardiology coverage for one week per month (Monday to Monday).
Round with a nurse practitioner on inpatient cardiology patients (20–40 patients).
Manage STEMI calls and provide emergency cardiac interventions as needed.
Perform overflow or unassigned procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.
Respond to house supervisor calls during on -call hours.
