Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ, 07960
Position Type: Contract (13 weeks assignment with possible extension)
Department: BIMC-PETRIE GENERAL FUNDS
Shift Timing: 9am-5pm

Schedule Notes:

• On call or weekends required: Yes
• Float: Yes, float to endovascular OR suite, offsite location where IR cases are performed based on operational needs.
• Call Back: Yes, weekday and weekend to include holiday on-call assignment. Night call weekend 24 hours on-call requirements.

Start Date: 05/13/2024 End Date: 08/10/2024

Duties:

• Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist.
• Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines.
• The ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases.
• The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist.
• The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication.
• The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load.
• Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.
• Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system.
• Groin management post-intervention.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures.
• Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state (defined in above JD.)
• This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist (CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.

Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.

Education:

• BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures.
