On call or weekends required? Yes
Float yes float to endovascular OR suite, offsite location where IR cases are performed based on operational needs.
Call Back: yes weekdays and weekends to include holiday on call assignment. Night call weekend 24 hours on call requirements
Duties
Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
Strong knowledge of Floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication
The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load
Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical records and sending images to Sectra/PACs system
Groin management post-intervention
Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment
BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures
Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in the above JD.)
This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.
