Course: Intro to Dietetics

This introductory course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the field of dietetics, offering a foundational understanding of the pathway to becoming a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, students explore the essential principles of nutrition, dietary planning, and the role of dietitians in promoting health and well-being.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Doctorate or Master’s in Nutritional Science/Dietetics, Biological Science or Exercise Science with emphasis/certifications in nutrition/dietetics.
  • Minimum: Master’s in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Nutritional Science/Dietetics, Biological Science or Exercise Science with emphasis/certifications in nutrition/dietetics.
