Intro to Volunteering Instructor - Casual - Temporary

About the role

We’re seeking a creative and compassionate instructor to lead a bi-weekly (approximately 8-20 hours/month) volunteering program for children in grades 2–6. This unique initiative takes place at Northern Montana Care Center and focuses on teaching the values of volunteerism through interactive lessons and crafts that foster meaningful connections between youth and residents.  This occurs on non-support Fridays.  You will plan and deliver weekly lessons that teach the purpose and impact of volunteering. Facilitate engaging craft activities that support each week’s theme. Coordinate with facility staff to ensure smooth session logistics. Encourage intergenerational interaction and relationship-building.

• Ability to relate to any person whatever his/her age, background, skill and abilities.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work with and relate to a diverse group of people.
