Summary/objective 

As part of the Supply Chain team reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Analyst position will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and availability of inventory. He or she will perform a high level of data analysis and entry to ensure inventory is in the right location, quantity, and labels. He or she will work with employees from various departments to meet these goals for accurate inventory.  

 
 

This position is based on-site at our Allentown, PA plant.

 
 

Essential Functions

  • Manage/review inventory transactions in our ERP system to ensure      inventory accuracy
  • Process Packaging worksheets and job travelers from manufacturing
  • Ensure material reporting is processed within 24 hours of receipt
  • Support activities involving the cycle count process within Syteline
  • Document/maintain procedures for all inventory-related      processes 
  • Participate/lead in the analysis of material flow in/out of the      warehouse, manufacturing floor, and distribution center
  • As may be required, support inventory audits of customer-owned      inventory
  • Research and correct inventory discrepancies in the materials      management group
  • Identify best practices and seek out process improvements for our      growing company
  • Follows supervisor/manager directions
  • Demonstrates dependability and reliability by maintaining good      attendance
  • Follows all Company safety rules/procedures, and abides by all      Company policies

Work Environment

This is a service and support role key to the success of FMI’s Supply Chain. Typically work environment is spending time at a computer desk 35 hours per week with additional hours in the facility working with different groups on inventory items, as necessary. 

 
 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is always required to use hands to finger or handle.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

 
 

Required education and experience

3+ years of inventory control experience preferred

3+ years of warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred

Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. 

 
 

Preferred education and experience

Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving problems. 

Demonstrated ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment. 

Experience in Syteline ERP or other system
