Inventory and Transportation Supervisor

We are seeking an up-and-coming logistics person who has experience and is looking to move to the next level as Supervisor. If you have the basic qualifications of working in the logistics world, and have experience with importing and exporting, then we want to talk to you.

Location:

Long Island (Just outside of NYC) (Hybrid - Three days in office)

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Operations Director, this position will

be responsible for overseeing the analysis and forecasting of the operations and logistical aspects of the company. The expectation of this position is to analyze, forecast and make decisions based on overall findings. The Inventory and Transportation Supervisor will have two direct reports.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
operations and customer service-based employees.
manual reports and put data together in a manner that is easily interpreted.
and execute on data findings.
all forecasting and analysis for airline client and share findings with National Accounts Transportation team.
inventory control and analysis; making expedited decisions based on findings.
forward thinking and make critical decisions pertaining to inventory as necessary.
bailment – perform forecasting on all control states; analyze findings and restock when necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5 years of management experience
5 years of experience with analysis of bailment/control states
High Level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong Microsoft Excel skills: ability to build reports
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Salary Range: $80-100k
