Job Duties of the Inventory Control Clerk:

• Count merchandise in stock and posts totals to inventory records.


• Compare inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.


• Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Generate reports such as inventory balance or shortages.


• Prepare lists of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.


• Researching any shortages and overages that are discovered during these counts.


• May also perform other tasks such as repairing / recouping damaged inventory.


• Respond and research email inquiries from sales teams and purchasing teams around inventory levels and product quality.


• Desk in an office space with a computer and will work in proprietary inventory software as well as basic outlook email and very basic Excel spreadsheets.


• This job is 30% office and 70% in the warehouse.

Skills Required of the Inventory Control Clerk:

• Ability to count correctly, and communicate effectively in English.


• The ability to lift cases up to 75 pounds occasionally


• And most importantly analytical and problem solving skills for researching.


• The candidate must be a team player and be willing to learn – forklift / walkie rider experience not required but a definite plus


• 3 years of warehouse or distribution is preferred particularly in food
