Job Description:

General Summary:
Provides support to the Manager of Procurement by overseeing the purchasing, receiving, storage, inventory, delivery and maintenance of materials, supplies and equipment purchased by CHC.

Desired/Required Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree preferred.
Experience: Two years of work experience in similar job or work environment. Prior work in pharmacy supply chain preferred.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Function):
1. Assists coordinator for purchasing of all materials and supplies. Reviews purchase orders for completeness and contacts requestor for more information if necessary. Reviews orders to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained and replenished. Monitors unnecessary or inefficient stock piling of supplies. Contacts vendor about any incorrect shipments, discrepancies and/or replacement needs. Tracks all back orders. Review backorder and coordinates appropriate action and communication to the staff. Pulls supplies for satellites, and oversees the courier function to provide adequate service to all sites.
2. Assure the quality and pricing are advantageous. Makes recommendations designed to reduce cost, update systems, and provide environment approved materials and services.
3. Work with management to establish product standardization to ensure consistency of quality products and to control variation of product. Assist in the research of sources and vendor selection.
4. Participate in CHC’s continuous improvement efforts such as interdepartmental charters and internal streamlining and process improvements.
5. Inventory control and accurate handling of pharmaceuticals, packing slips and invoices.
6. All other duties as assigned.
