Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of the Operations team, the Inventory Control Specialist will specialize in maintaining accurate inventory of parts and goods through standards generation, transaction documentation, process, procedure verification, and system reviews. Role will develop and execute replenishment strategies, conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts as well as analyze and correct cycle count discrepancies. The Inventory Control Specialist will also help lead the development and implementation of enterprise best practices for Distribution, Operations, and Inventory Control.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and material control systems activities related to material control and inventory control functions.
- Ensure security and accountability of inventory through standard work creation, job aid (transactional/troubleshooting) documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review.
- Review, analyze, drive to root cause resolution on cycle count discrepancies, audit incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Compile and document all transactions for data entry, participate and support kanban and supermarket inventory management strategies, and develop material schedules and coordinate efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, engineering and R&D.
- Lead small to medium projects to either create or optimize distribution and warehousing processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of related experience with Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work in matrix organization driving collaboration across businesses and functions.
- Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills and strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Ability to work independently and proactively and lead and provide work direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Visual/SAP ERP experience
- Forklift experience
