Job Description - Inventory Control Supervisor

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible for overseeing the inventory processes: conducting and analyzing cycle counts, reporting and tracking usage and waste, and driving proper product rotation.

LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK’s Texas Beverage Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

TYPE: Full Time; Salaried / Exempt 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises Inventory staff and daily activities while enforcing operating instructions and safety policies
  • Develop and enforce policies to Improve the accuracy of Inventory throughout the organization
  • Minimize obsolescence and Inventory expiration through proactive communication and management
  • Coaches, develops, and supports team members through regular feedback, performance conversations, and on-the-job training to build capability and accountability.
  • Identifies skill gaps and works with Plant Leadership to ensure employees receive appropriate training, resources, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately completed within WMS/ERP
  • Analyze and review results of cycle counts
  • Assigns daily tasks to support Inventory strategy and meet weekly and monthly objectives
  • Train all new Inventory employees and re-evaluates training needs based on individual performance
  • Coordinates staffing requirements to cover attendance shortages
  • Orders warehouse supplies and maintains suitable inventory levels
  • Issues timely corrective actions as appropriate
  • Addresses safety, personnel, and operational concerns immediately with manager
  • Maintains records, reports relevant information, and prepares any necessary documentation
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers to Identify and resolve Inventory and receiving discrepancies
  • Continuously monitor applicable KPIs
  • Support in all documentation efforts across the company, ensuring all Bill of Ladings are created and distributed for internal transfers
  • Accomplishes special projects and other assignments/duties as required by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow for successful job performance
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment; 5+ years preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to drive a forklift, electrical pallet jack, manual pallet jack, etc.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Strong project management, time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to problem solve and cross check documentation
