Job Description - Inventory Coordinator

Job Title: Inventory Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Coordinator to assist inventory management processes at Brown Foodservice. The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, coordinating with the Inventory Supervisor and ensuring efficient flow of goods in compliance with food safety and quality standards. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, minimizing waste and maintaining accurate warehouse inventory. Based out of our Louisa Kentucky whse, you will be an essential part of our team that has been servicing customers and delivering fine foods since 1942.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of food products, packaging materials and other warehouse supplies.
Conduct physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Identify and investigate discrepancies in inventory records to find root cause.
Monitor expiration dates and ensure timely removal of expired or damaged goods in compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist in preparing for and participating in internal and external audits.
Complete transfers from storage warehouse to distribution warehouse.
Conduct daily produce inspections to ensure customers receive fresh produce.
Complete daily and weekly cycle count sheets.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in inventory management.
Proficient in Microsoft 365, Micrsoft Word and Excel.
Understanding of food safety regulations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills.
Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds, stand for extended periods and work in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment (including cooler/freezer areas).

Preferred Skills:

Electric reach truck experience.
Experience with perishable goods.
Proficient with adding, subtracting multiplying and dividing.
