About the Position:


Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support the daily operations of our 87th St. location. This full-time, in-house role involves hands-on inventory management, collaboration with Art Handlers and photographers, and maintaining accurate records in our internal system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires physical handling of delicate items.



Responsibilities:



  • Receive, unpack, label, and store inventory items at 87th location, ensuring proper handling and documentation, at direction of the Inventory Manager.

  • Work together with Art Handlers to locate and release inventory items to buyers and consignors.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in internal inventory system.

  • Collaborate with photographers to locate and set up items for photography.

  • Conduct semi-regular physical inventory.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage environment.

  • Address discrepancies and resolve inventory-related issues promptly.

  • Coordinate with Art Handlers for installation and deinstallation of exhibitions.

  • Ensure inventory practices adhere to all legal, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as requested.



Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in an auction house, gallery, museum or art shipping company preferred but not required

  • Previous experience with inventory management system and/or client management system preferred but not required

  • Strong attention to detail, organized

  • Flexible, able to multitask and perform under stress

  • Physical ability to handle delicate items and lift 30 lbs.
