DESCRIPTION:
The Inventory Deployment Analyst will be responsible for setting up forecasting and deployment processes for core beauty categories. This includes working closely with the Beauty Planner, Regional Planner, Central Planning, Operations and Logistics teams, ensuring proper management of core inventory, both in region and Client Distribution Centers. Primary responsibilities include recommending buys for core inventory, deploying product to global partners, monitoring partner order requests, and ensuring overall inventory flow is managed within policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop a forward-looking sales forecast to be used for allocation and buying purposes (based on historical selling patterns, seasonal trends, and promotional activity)
· Formulate an inventory deployment plan to global partners and subsequent Client inventory receipt plan to support
· Partner with other cross functional teams to ensure seamless flow of communication
· Set and maintain regional forecasting and deployment parameters, taking into account constraints and inputs such as inventory levels, lead time and order cycle, timing of merchandise delivery, minimum presentation quantity/safety stock, distribution size and frequency
· Incorporate order size and frequency into an inventory plan that meets sales, margin, inventory objectives
· Work with Logistics to resolve external constraints that impact inventory flow to distribution centers and stores
· Read and react to business trends, analyzing performance: adjusting forecasts, partner allocations, and receipt plans
· Manage inventory in support of major events i.e. item launch, promotions, new stores, relocations
· Develop rapport with partners and build credibility through effective communication.
· Coordinate with cross functional partners activities necessary to support and execute quick turn-around on event changes
· Problem solve with cross-functional partners to resolve inventory issues and proactively address constraints
· Identify system inputs from cross-functional teams impacting inventory fulfillment that require further updates to optimize flow
· Identify and address future inventory issues to reduce impact to the business, based on time-phased plan
