Job Description - Inventory Lead

ABOUT THE JOB


The Inventory Control Lead manages and guides warehouse and analyst staff to maintain near-perfect inventory records and optimize material flow. This role will be the primary liaison between site leadership, Finance, and Production, driving high-level strategies to minimize "Excess and Obsolete" (E&O) material while ensuring 100% availability for flight-critical programs.  


WHAT YOU’LL DO 



  • Team Supervision: Lead and train a team of inventory analysts, ensuring they monitor key performance indicators and follow rigorous aerospace safety and quality standards (e.g., AS9100)



  • Strategic Oversight: Coordinate with other manufacturing stakeholders to ensure efficient forecasting, planning and schedule execution



  • Financial Responsibility: Monitor/reconcile inventory-related variances, support financial auditing activities and lead physical inventory counts



  • Advanced Reconciliation: Troubleshoot and reconcile large-scale discrepancies that require high-level authorization or multi-departmental coordination



  • Compliance Management: Ensure all material management follows strict federal guidelines, including the Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS) for government property



  • Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean or Six Sigma initiatives to automate tracking or streamline the business systems processes that support shop-floor production



  • Metric Reporting: Interface directly with site leadership to report on inventory metrics such as accuracy percentages, inventory turns, transaction discipline and shrinkage 


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).  



  • Mastery of ERP (Oracle preferred) systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (Odoo preferred) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). 



  • Advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs), and programming skills such as Python or SQL for mining large data sets. 



  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects, mentor junior staff, and resolve conflicts in a high-pressure manufacturing environment. 



  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards and Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS) regulations for the management of government property. 



  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities 


 

US Salary Range

$111,000 - $147,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
