The Inventory Lead oversees aspects of the department’s functions, including delegating tasks to Inventory team members, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The Inventory Lead plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of inventory data and optimizing the efficiency of inventory processes.
Essential Job Functions:
Regularly update and review daily reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to ensure accurate tracking of inventory performance.
Distribute and prioritize tasks among Inventory Control Associates, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to departmental standards.
Conduct and oversee bin location audits, cycle counts, stock checks, and address issues related to short picks and no stocks.
Coordinate additional projects as needed, such as scrapping or disposal of obsolete inventory.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance accuracy and efficiency in inventory control.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Basic math skills
Forklift certified, or be willing to obtain certification to operate power equipment
Ability to read and write English.
Previous ERP experience
Basic Word and Excel skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Prior experience in inventory control or a related field preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day
Ability to climb ladders up to 16 ft.
Working Conditions:
· Standard office environment with regular exposure to the warehouse.
