Inventory Lead 8a-430p

Position Overview:

The Inventory Lead oversees aspects of the department’s functions, including delegating tasks to Inventory team members, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The Inventory Lead plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of inventory data and optimizing the efficiency of inventory processes.

Essential Job Functions:

• Regularly update and review daily reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to ensure accurate tracking of inventory performance.


• Distribute and prioritize tasks among Inventory Control Associates, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to departmental standards.


• Conduct and oversee bin location audits, cycle counts, stock checks, and address issues related to short picks and no stocks.


• Coordinate additional projects as needed, such as scrapping or disposal of obsolete inventory.


• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance accuracy and efficiency in inventory control.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED


• Basic math skills


• Forklift certified, or be willing to obtain certification to operate power equipment


• Ability to read and write English.


• Previous ERP experience


• Basic Word and Excel skills.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.


• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.


• Prior experience in inventory control or a related field preferred.


• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds


• Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day


• Ability to climb ladders up to 16 ft.

Working Conditions:

·         Standard office environment with regular exposure to the warehouse.
