JOB SUMMARY


The Production Manager role at Joint Company supports our partnership with Terrabis to craft and distribute premium cannabis products throughout Missouri. Together, we’re creating a unified team built on operational excellence, compliance, and innovation.


The Production Manager oversees daily production operations to ensure all cannabis products are manufactured, packaged, and tracked efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with regulations. This role manages the production team, maintains data integrity within METRC, and drives operational excellence through consistent process execution, training, and team development.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Supervise and support all production staff to ensure products are produced on schedule and meet quality standards.

  • Maintain METRC compliance for all track-and-trace data, ensuring accuracy in product movement, waste logs, and conversions.

  • Implement, monitor, and enforce SOPs to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.

  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure all products meet internal and external compliance standards.

  • Partner with the General Manager on production planning, forecasting, and performance metrics.

  • Train, develop, and evaluate Production Leads and team members to ensure strong performance and adherence to processes.

  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and yield optimization.

  • Manage materials and inventory control systems, ensuring accurate counts and timely replenishment.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment consistent with company and state regulations.

  • Serve as a liaison between production, packaging, logistics, and inventory departments to ensure seamless workflow.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production management; cannabis industry experience required.

  • Demonstrated understanding of METRC and cannabis track-and-trace requirements.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.

  • Strong Excel skills for daily production tracking, yield and variance analysis, pivot tables, and lookups.

  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools preferred.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies a plus.

  • Must be detail-oriented, data-driven, and capable of maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be 21 years or older.

  • Must pass all required background checks.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.

  • Remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

  • Must be able to lift and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) and stand for extended periods.
