Role Statement

This role is accountable for optimizing inventory procurement to align with TAL's operational objectives, promotional strategies, and evolving customer demands. The position drives end-to-end inventory availability by ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective sourcing, while fostering strong vendor partnerships and enabling store teams to execute seamlessly.

Replenishers are integral to TAL’s supply chain resilience, playing a pivotal role in minimizing out-of-stocks (“outs”) and maximizing product availability—directly supporting customer satisfaction, sales performance, and overall store efficiency.

Outcomes for Success

Strategic Procurement & Inventory Optimization

  • Exercise end-to-end ownership of inventory sourcing by autonomously forecasting demand, analyzing promotional plans, and placing high-impact purchase orders with approved vendors.
  • Leverage Epicor BisTrack tools and data analytics to proactively maintain optimal stock levels, balancing customer demand with inventory turnover goals.
  • Ensure purchase orders are executed with precision—accurately reflecting quantities, costs, delivery schedules, and promotional programming terms to support strategic sales initiatives.
  • Monitor and mitigate out-of-stock (“outs”) risk by analyzing demand trends, supplier lead times, and historical fill rates, driving continuous availability across key product categories.
  • Conduct regular pricing reviews and margin analyses to maintain competitiveness and protect profitability, contributing to dynamic pricing strategies.
  • Integrate market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive benchmarking to inform procurement and pricing decisions that directly impact revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Vendor Communication & Supplier Performance Management

  • Build and sustain effective, trust-based relationships with vendor partners to ensure supply chain consistency and alignment with business goals.
  • Independently manage the order lifecycle—confirming orders, resolving discrepancies, and escalating issues as needed to maintain fulfillment standards.

Store Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison between replenishment and store operations—providing timely, data-driven updates and resolving inventory inquiries to enable in-store execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively communicate critical supply chain updates (e.g., ETAs, delivery delays, substitutions) to store teams, enabling agile decision-making across the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BIS, to ensure product and vendor data integrity supports seamless replenishment workflows.

Purchase Order Integrity & System Governance

  • Own the integrity of purchase order execution—ensuring all records reflect real-time accuracy across assigned product categories.
  • Maintain up-to-date lead times, cost changes, and delivery schedules in Epicor to support reliable forecasting and reporting.
  • Lead issue resolution for product or pricing discrepancies by coordinating with vendors, and support teams, minimizing disruptions to store operations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
