Contract: June - September, possible extensions
Hours: 7:30am-3:00pm
Environment: Warehouse/Office at GBFB
- Parking on Site: Fenced in area for employee parking and there are at least two security guards outside the building at all times.

Job Title: Marketplace Associate (Customer Service)
Reports to: Manager of Agency Relations
Position Summary
To provide outstanding customer service and direction to all agencies physically picking up food at the Manage product selection. Utilize eCommerce and Warehouse Management systems in order to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction related to food quality, ordering, and pick-up or delivery.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine the daily selection of product for Marketplace restocking and replenishment.
- Assist with outreach of full pallets through the Marketplace and scheduling one-off appointments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with Inventory Control and Food Acquisition on product selection and movement.
- Insure proper invoicing and consistent flow of agencies through the Marketplace.
- Collaborate with Agency Relations, Inventory Control and Warehouse Managers to problem solve issues as they arise.
- Develop relationships with partner agencies to identify opportunities to increase pounds distributed through the Marketplace.
- Assist in educating Member Agencies about less commonly known items.
- Ensure Marketplace upkeep and cleaning protocols are being followed.
- Maintain ServSafe certification.
- Ensure American Institute of Bakers standards are maintained.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by Management, including cross training in other Agency Relations roles.

Mandatory Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Diploma preferred or at least 2 years of directly related experience
- Experience working in operations/warehousing is a plus
- Foodservice, Food Safety, or other directly related work experience is a plus
- Experience navigating in a Warehouse Management System to perform data entry functions preferred
- Bi-lingual Spanish and/or Haitian Creole skills is a plus
- Demonstrates the required digital competencies that result in the effective usage of the full range of digital technologies
Physical Demands
- Lift or carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand/sit up to 3 hours at a time
- Ability to work within an open air/cubicle environment
- Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and obtain certification
Work Environment
- The job is typically performed indoors in a warehouse environment
