Typical Duties and Responsibilities

 Receiving and Storage: Accept, inspect, label, and store incoming shipments and supplies.

 Inventory Tracking: Use software and databases to record new items, track items that come in and go out, and update inventory records regularly.

 Stock Audits: Conduct physical counts of inventory to compare with records and identify any discrepancies.

 Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve any issues or inaccuracies found during audits.

 Level Monitoring: Watch stock levels and report when items are running low or when there are too many.

 Reporting: Generate reports on inventory levels, movements, and discrepancies for management.

 Organization: Maintain a clean and organized storage area to make items easy to find and retrieve.

 Coordination: Communicate with other departments, such as purchasing or logistics, to arrange for restocking or timely delivery of products.

Key Skills and Qualities

 Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate data entry and reconciliation of inventory counts.

 Organizational Skills: Needed to manage stockrooms and keep records tidy.

 Computer Proficiency: Ability to use inventory management software, databases, and other office technology.

 Physical Stamina: Often required to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds in a warehouse environment.

 Communication Skills: To report issues and coordinate with other teams. 

Marginal Functions:

1. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.


2. Provides backup support to material handling operators as needed.


3. Participate in meetings regarding facility layout, process flow, inventory profiles etc.


4. Operate material handling equipment as required to complete job functions.
