Position: Inventory Supervisor

Filterbuy is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Supervisor to oversee inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, inventory control processes, and warehouse inventory operations. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory integrity, optimizing inventory movement, minimizing discrepancies, and leading a team responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across the facility.
The ideal candidate has experience in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution environment, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a proven ability to lead inventory teams while driving continuous process improvements.
This role will report to the Plant Manager at our New Kensington location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise daily inventory control activities and inventory personnel.
- Lead and coordinate cycle count programs, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Monitor inventory transactions to ensure system accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP system.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Partner with Receiving, Shipping, Production, and Purchasing to resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO) and storage practices.
- Monitor damaged, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
- Analyze inventory trends and prepare inventory reports for leadership.
- Train, coach, and develop inventory team members.
- Establish productivity and accuracy expectations for the inventory team.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Participate in warehouse projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with system implementations and inventory process enhancements as needed.
Required skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- 1+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
- Experience performing cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
