Job Description - Inventory/Receiving Clerk - Warehouse

Ameraflex Sealing Products (ASP) is a 59-year-old well-established gasket and supply company located in Deer Park, TX that services a wide range of customers within the industrial, petrochemical and OEM markets.  We supply standard and custom gaskets and related items as well as proprietary products including SEALON®.  We focus on providing top-tier customer service and adding value to relationships with our customers but also reflect that effort towards our employees through providing very competitive benefits and pay.  We have been growing our business and are looking to add quality people to our team.

The ideal candidate is an energetic individual, a team player, and can provide services necessary for the efficient operation of Ameraflex:  This is an In-Person position with operating hours of M-F, 8AM-5PM. This position will report directly to the Purchasing Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Make sure all paperwork is current and is filed in the proper place throughout the day.
  • Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
  • Receive in all items, meaning check count, dimensions, lb rating, drawings etc. to verify all are correct.
  • Verify our PO versus vendor packing list.  Take items to proper location. Tag all material for orders and stock.
  • Notify correct people of any issues with a PO.
  • Receive PO’s in ERP system.
  • Check to make sure all PO’s are received in daily.
  • Operate forklift and order picker.
  • Update notes in ERP system as items come in.
  • Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe and accident free.
  • Cross train in Distribution so that you can fill in during lunch, or as needed.
  • Help Distribution put away stock items, pull orders and/or material.
  • Help with cycle counts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory is preferred.
  • Must have previous experience handling high volume inbound and outbound distributions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be punctual and able to work each day.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to stand, crouch and lift objects up to 70 pounds throughout a normal workday.
  • Positive demeanor, dependability and strong work ethic.
  • Self-starter with ability to learn our systems quickly.
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Moderate computer proficiency.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Dependable transportation
