Job Overview
Progress Partners is seeking to hire a Boston-based Investment Banking Analyst to help support its M&A and Capital Markets transactions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, experience with financial statements, financial modeling, and strong communication skills. Prior experience in executing M&A transactions in Technology verticals is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, creative, proactive, outgoing, and possess a strong background in finance and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and assist in the preparation of proposals, client presentations, and transaction materials.
Conduct company and industry research and develop expert industry knowledge.
Develop marketing materials, complex financial analyses and models, and ensure data integrity and accuracy of all deliverables.
Monitor campaigns, coordinate meetings, and prepare and actively participate in weekly updates.
Engage in due diligence processes, including data room management and coordination between all stakeholders (internal and external).
Establish and maintain the respect and trust of clients.
Recruit, supervise, and develop interns.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
6-12 months of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, or other similar experience (including co-ops and internships).
Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record required; finance/accounting, business, economics majors preferred.
Knowledge of M&A and capital raising practices is essential.
Solid finance/accounting knowledge; ability to analyze and value businesses.
Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
Team player mentality combined with the ability to work independently.
Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills.
Strict attention to detail and advanced note taking abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables.
Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills; Expert in Excel and PowerPoint.
Prior experience with accounting, financial or market data, databases, or analysis tools.
