We are actively seeking a full-time Investment Banking Vice President to work on the Healthcare team at our New York, NY office.

Position Overview

The VP role offers a unique opportunity to play an impactful role in the Healthcare investment banking team. The VP will work closely with senior bankers and have direct contact with clients and investors, while also working to execute transactions and evaluate prospects. The VP will provide analytical, quantitative, and process support for the team – banking experience in the biotech sector is key.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Participate in the execution of equity and debt financings, M&A, and advisory transactions.


• Assist senior bankers in searching for and developing new investment banking business via industry and company research and attending/participating in client meetings.


• Prepare pitch books and analyze detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conduct due diligence.


• Drafting of transactional material, including management presentations, financial valuation, DCF, pro forma models, comps and precedent transaction analyses, and prospectuses.


• Act as a team leader, delegating responsibility appropriately and training and developing team members by instruction, involvement and example.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• 4+ years of Investment Banking with a focus on healthcare/biotechnology and experience with equity capital markets transactions


• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a biotechnology-related field). Advanced degree in life sciences (MS, MD, PharmD, PhD) is a plus


• Resourceful self-starter that works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with the ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously


• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to articulate complex concepts and convey ideas in a persuasive manner


• Outstanding financial modeling and analysis


• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 and 63 licenses

The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $220,000 - $230,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. This position is eligible for quarterly incentive compensation.
