Job Description - Investment Portfolio Analyst
Responsibilities
Portfolio Analysis & Maintenance
Assist in the composition and maintenance of investment portfolios.
Conduct detailed portfolio analysis, comparing different industries, historical trends, and financial metrics.
Understand and adhere to regulatory and legal restrictions impacting the portfolio.
Engage in equity research using fundamental analysis, valuation models, and other relevant metrics.
Evaluate economic and market trends, earnings prospects, and financial statements.
Complete pre-purchase due diligence on bond opportunities.
Specialized fixed income-related analysis and management, this includes sophisticated structured products like CMBS, CLO-CRE, COM, etc.
Financial Modeling Establish and maintain complex financial models.
Analyze investment opportunities based on quantitative and qualitative factors.
Communicate portfolio information to clients.
Gather client requirements and relay them to portfolio managers.
Assessing and managing risks associated with investments.
Implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Staying informed about market developments.
Conducting research and due diligence on various investment opportunities; analysis and monitoring of corporate venture capital investments.
Communication & Documentation Communicate portfolio information to clients.
Gather client requirements and relay them to portfolio managers.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of all investment relationships.
Document review of portfolio, platforms and analytics.
Address recommended plan for improved in-house investment monitoring.
Ongoing review of Investment Management Policy.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting.
1-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis.
Interest in pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Basic knowledge of interest rate hedging/derivative strategy and treasury tools.
Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically about complex problems.
Experience with financial software applications preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
