True Harmony Company is looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated Integrated Pest Management Supervisor to join our team in Ely, Nevada.
About the Position The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Supervisor plays a crucial role in implementing effective pest management strategies within our fully automated 250,000-square-foot greenhouse. This position requires an understanding of pest biology, beneficial organisms, and environmentally sustainable pest control methods in a greenhouse setting. This position will be responsible for monitoring plant health, identifying pest threats, and developing and executing IPM plans that align with our commitment to sustainable cultivation and creating quality products.
About You Our ideal candidate is an agricultural science graduate with IPM experience in a non-cannabis production greenhouse environment, with in-depth knowledge of conventional pesticide/fungicide application and a deep understanding of insect life cycles.
Our Location Our campus is nestled in a rural location near the base of the Ruby Mountains. We are located in a remote area of White Pine County, one hour north of downtown Ely, Nevada. The quaint town of Ely is roughly 7.5 square miles in the heart of the Great Basin, 244 miles north of Las Vegas and 63 miles west of Utah.

Location & Hours
This is an on-site position at our main location in Ely, Nevada.
This is a full-time position.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (or alternate weekdays; weekends are required for this role).
Duties & Responsibilities
The IPM Supervisor is responsible for assisting with pest and disease management, ensuring overall plant health for indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse production.

Oversee prevention, treatment, planning, scheduling, and research related to pest and disease management.
Assist in the development of and oversee application schedules and treatment plans targeting key pest and disease pressures, ensuring all methods are safe, effective, label-compliant, and fully aligned with regulations
Analyze pest-related issues and respond appropriately with proper techniques.
Build systems for scouting and other IPM tools.
Ensure proper storage, disposal, usage, and certification, and reinforce these practices by helping to develop documentation such as SOPs, Work Instructions, Forms, Logs, etc.
Develop and train staff and create visual guides for pests and diseases.
Research and evaluate new products on the market that may assist with pest management.
Assist the company in budgeting for the department, including monitoring and controlling expenses.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations in all activities under your supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Entomology, or a related field preferred.
The possession of either a Qualified Applicator License, Qualified Applicator Certificate, or the ability to acquire a Private Applicator Certificate
Working knowledge of agricultural practices, irrigation, and cultivation systems.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in integrated pest management in a greenhouse cultivation setting.
Skills & Core Competencies:
Strong knowledge of pest biology, eco-friendly pest control methods, and greenhouse cultivation practices.
Familiarity with automated greenhouse systems and integrating IPM practices within such environments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make timely decisions based on data.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly/
Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in a greenhouse environment.
Repetitive Motion: Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching to handle plants and equipment.
Manual Dexterity: Proficient hand-eye coordination for application and plant care tasks
Work Environment: Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of greenhouse environments
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
