Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and Python to optimize system administration tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement automation for RHEL LEAPP upgrades to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruption to the platform.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the Linux platform, including performance tuning and security enhancements.
- Manage Linux OS configurations, with a particular focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain the Linux OS platform.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in Linux, financial services, and cybersecurity.
- Provide engineering-level support and contribute to incident resolution as required.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Ansible development.
- Proficiency in Python development is advantageous.
- Extensive experience in Linux OS administration, especially with RHEL7+.
- Background in application or middleware support is beneficial.
- Proven track record as a Linux Platform Engineer, with a preference for expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Expertise in Python and Ansible programming.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Linux OS configuration management.
- Ability to develop scalable solutions deployed in large global enterprise environments.
- Experience with RHEL LEAPP upgrades is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Data Visualization tools like Splunk and ELK is a plus.
- Understanding of financial services regulations and security standards is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
- Certifications such as RHCE or equivalent are advantageous.
