About the Role 


We’re looking for an Ironworker II (entry level position) that is a role that is designed for individuals eager to start a career in the steel industry. This position offers hands-on training alongside experienced tradespeople, providing opportunities to learn material handling, blueprint reading, and safe steel erection practices. Perfect for motivated, safety-minded individuals ready to grow in construction, even without prior ironworking experience.




Core Responsibilities



  • Steel Assembly Support





    • Learn and assist with the installation and alignment of steel beams, columns, and other components under the guidance of skilled ironworkers.

    • Develop skills in the safe use of cranes, rigging gear, and hand tools to move and position materials.





  • Safety Practices





    • Commit to safety by following all company protocols and learning to recognize and address potential hazards on the job site.

    • Assist in maintaining tools and machinery in safe, working condition.





  • Team Collaboration and Career Development





    • Work closely with crew members, supervisors, and project leaders to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

    • Participate in on-the-job learning, training, and certification opportunities to build a long-term career in ironworking.






Preferred Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • No prior ironworking experience required — strong work ethic and willingness to learn essential.

  • Comfort with physical, hands-on work in outdoor environments.

  • Ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials safely.

  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

  • Ability to pass a drug and background check (subject to random testing).

  • Willingness to travel within the Gulf Coast, Nashville, and Huntsville regions.

  • OSHA 10hr/30hr training a plus (or willingness to complete).

  • TWIC eligibility required.
