Irrigation Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Perform duties such as installation of irrigation equipment.
• Diagnose, check and repair or replace equipment as needed.
• Perform regular maintenance of installed irrigation.
• Obtain and maintain knowledge of Horticulture and all related practices.
• Work with and assist landscape installation and maintenance crews as needed.
• Follow operating procedures and standards that ensure adequate performance and personnel safety.
• Obtain and maintain knowledge of horticulture and all related practices.
• Use critical thinking and analysis to solve problems and complete repairs with minimal impact to landscape.

Qualifications

• Irrigation Technician License issued by the TCEQ. Training and testing available. 
• Ability to pass Unique Landscaping’s hiring requirements.
• At least 3 years of productive experience in the installation, inspection and repair of irrigation systems.
• Prior knowledge in horticulture a PLUS, interest in horticulture is required. 
• Sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills. 
• Attention to details, high energy, and learning skills.  
• Ability to work in a team environment under supervision.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme environments and lift objects weighing 50-80 pounds.
