Irrigation Technician

Our ideal candidate profile:  

• Exceptional Communication, Organization and Interpersonal skills


• Technical proficiency in all aspects of residential irrigation system installation, diagnosis, repair and programming


• 3+ years of field experience preferred


• Commercial Irrigation installation experience a plus


• Analytical and highly organized


• Solid time management skills


• Basic understanding of residential irrigation layout including flow and pressure calculations a plus

Job Duties

The Irrigation Technician role is key to the functionality of the overall business.  The success of each department of Big Sky Landscaping relies on the proper execution of the responsibilities of this role. The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the successful installation and maintenance of irrigation systems at projects across all divisions of the Company.

1. Irrigation system turn-ons (spring) and winterizations (fall)


2. Audit, diagnose and repair irrigation system issues


3. Irrigation checks at multiple properties on scheduled cadence


4. Programming irrigation controllers


5. Installation of residential irrigation systems

REPORTING:

1. Report directly to the owner while performing tasks as required for any department leaders.

The following require notification of the Owner:

1. Any incidence of fraud or theft within the company.


2. Any injury incurred by an employee.


3. Any property damage to a client’s property or company property caused by an employee.

Hours of Work

Summer:  Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. Fridays (as needed) 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.   

Benefits:  

• Hourly wage between $35.00 and $45.00 per hour.
