Job Description - Irrigation Technition

About Us:

R&S Groundskeeping is a locally family-run business that has been serving middle Tennessee for 30 years. We take pride in delivering high-quality landscaping and irrigation solutions to our residential and commercial clients. With a reputation built on reliability and professionalism, we’re looking to expand our team with a dependable and skilled Irrigation Technician.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of irrigation system components, water conservation practices, and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, and maintain irrigation systems for residential and/or commercial properties

Diagnose and repair system issues, including leaks, broken heads, valves, and wiring

Perform seasonal irrigation start-ups and shut-downs (winterization)

Program and adjust irrigation controllers and timers

Ensure systems operate efficiently and meet water conservation standards

Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used

Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients and team members

Work in elements: rain/cold/heat. Longer days during peak season.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (college a plus)

3+ years of experience in irrigation installation and repair (preferred)

Knowledge of irrigation components (valves, timers, pumps, drip systems, etc.)

Ability to read site plans and irrigation blueprints

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Ability to drive a Truck and trailer/Isuzu landscape truck/dingo/trencher

We are a full-service lawn maintenance and landscape installation company specializing in ornamental ponds, landscape pavers, retaining walls, and all other landscape services. Our nursery was founded 30 years ago and offers a wide selection of plants and trees.
