Check in with Mechanics or Supervisor to ensure the correct piece of equipment is being used
Prior to startup: visually inspect equipment, inspect tires, look for any puddles underneath or around parked equipment, immediately report your observations to a Supervisor or Mechanic
Prior to startup, check fuel and fill if necessary with appropriate fuel (diesel or Unleaded).
Properly strap down equipment in utility vehicles to prevent harm to the various pieces of equipment being transported
Maintain equipment in good working condition while operating and after use
IMMEDIATELY REPORT ANY AND ALL PROBLEMS with equipment to both Supervisor and Mechanics
Observe all stop signs, street crossings, and blind spots throughout the courses and streets
Be courteous to all golfers and always give them the right of way
Properly shut down equipment when necessary
Always be aware of your surroundings and use caution while driving along lake edges, rock walls, cart paths, and while on the streets
You should always be observant for fuel leaks or equipment leaking any type of a fluid, report immediately to Supervisor or Mechanic
Any and all equipment should be properly cleaned after use and properly put away
Each piece of equipment that was used should be fueled and inspected prior to parking or placing it in its appropriate location.
Always return equipment where it belongs, this includes all small mowing equipment, small power hand tools, trailers, all small hand tools, bags of fertilizer or other pesticides, bags of seed, etc…

REQUIREMENTS
The employee will be required to be to work at the scheduled time, properly dressed and sober.
The employee should have relatively good balance which would prevent them from falling while walking, squatting, standing, bending, kneeling, leaning, jumping, digging and crouching.
Ability to consistently use one and/or both arms and hands and properly operate duel foot controls along with repetitive foot motion in order to operate various controls on small utility vehicles, walking reel mowers and other small hand held equipment. The controls include but not limited to, buttons, knobs, pedals, levers, cranks, etc…
Ability to power or simple grasp with both hands for all small power and hand tools along with pushing and pulling various pieces of equipment, walking reels and rotary mowers and various power and hand tools.
Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 50lbs of weight and properly carry the 50 lbs a minimum of 100 feet, anything heavier should never be attempted alone.
Ability to walk on uneven ground
Ability to be exposed to machinery, various equipment, dust, gas, diesel, hydraulic oil, gas, diesel and oil fumes, various chemicals and pesticides, humidity, wetness, various temperatures, water and various levels of noise.
Ability to work with employees both effectively and efficiently.
Ability to demonstrate an ongoing positive attitude along with enthusiasm and interest in job and Club
Be able to perform with minimal guidance and supervision and understand daily job requirements
Quality of work produced is accurate, neat and thorough with minimal and/or no errors.
Productivity meets department standards or above
Able to complete duties promptly and/or follows through to ensure completion of job
Ability to effectively communicate to supervisors, guests, members and other individuals/employees associated with the Club.
Capacity to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to create a motivating climate, achieve teamwork, and take corrective actions.
Properly demonstrate the correct procedures for making and all necessary repairs to the existing irrigation system.
Able to demonstrate a harmonious working relationship with fellow employees
Properly follow directions from Supervisors
Properly communicate with Supervisors and Equipment Manager including Assistant Mechanics
Demonstrate the ability to properly make any and all necessary repairs to the existing irrigation system, including various breaks and repairs to irrigation pipes, sprinklers and xeriscape.
Ability to properly operate and program an irrigation field satellite
Demonstrate the ability to properly cut cups and perform daily course set-up.
Demonstrate the ability to properly operate various small rotary mowers, edgers, flymows, weedeaters, power hedgers, stick edgers, various types of blowers, and other small equipment.
Demonstrate the ability to properly use various hand tools for digging, raking, tamping, leveling, etc…
Demonstrate the ability to properly install irrigation valves of various sizes.
Demonstrate the ability to have good working skills with various tools, methods and materials used in golf course and landscape work.
Demonstrate the ability to work around bodies of water, lakes and streams.
Demonstrate the ability to efficiently hand water greens, tees, fairways rough, landscape.
Demonstrate the ability to properly repair areas throughout the course where any type of digging may have occurred including preparing grade and laying sod.
