Islamic Finance Specialist/Originator (Texas, TX)

We have an exciting opportunity for a professional mortgage specialist/originator, originating Islamic Residential Financing. This position will work with clients looking for faith-based one-to-four-family residential financing in accordance with the bank’s policies, procedures and all applicable agency and investor guidelines. 

Responsibilities:

• Proactively solicit new residential mortgage financing to meet established quality and production goals.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of business relationships to ensure a recurring source of mortgage financing referrals. This network could include realtors, mortgage professionals, builders, professional and personal contacts, and any other referral sources the Islamic Finance Originator develops.
• Enhance the network by regularly participating in business-related development opportunities, community events, visiting mosques, engaging with Islamic community leaders and interacting with professional organizations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Devon Bank's lending programs, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Distribute promotional and marketing material to Muslim communities.
• Arrange and present educational workshops at mosques, community events, etc.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 continuous years in a mortgage-related position, with experience generating self-sourced business
• Ability to travel to potential business sources throughout the assigned sales territory
• Ability to originate Islamic finance transactions in 34 states
• S.A.F.E. Act licensing required prior to start date
• Ability to speak conversational Arabic, Somali or Urdu is a plus

The base pay for this role is: $36,000 plus commission
