About the Role

As an associate, you will:

• Handle complex appellate litigation in federal and state courts, including developing legal strategies and drafting persuasive briefs.

• Collaborate with a team of experienced appellate lawyers on precedent-setting cases across various industries.

• Engage directly with clients and trial teams to preserve key arguments for appeal and provide independent assessments of litigation prospects.

• Work on appeals involving constitutional law, administrative law, and other significant legal issues.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2–4 years of experience (class of 2021–2023) in appellate litigation or complex legal analysis.

• A strong academic record and exceptional analytical and writing skills.

• Federal or state appellate court clerkship experience (preferred but not required).

• Active bar membership in Washington, DC or Virginia (preferred but required within one year of joining).
