POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides information and technology support to agency staff. This position is responsible for maintaining KHDS facilities and vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.     Provide information and technical support.
             a.   Inspects KHDS-owned computers and mobile devices equipment and prepares them for delivery to employees.
             b.   Installs and maintains hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives.
             c.   Loads specified software packages such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computer.
             d.   Instructs and trains employees in proper use of equipment, software, and manuals.
             e.   Answers employees' inquires.
             f.   Diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
             g.   Replaces defective or inadequate software packages, as instructed by the IT Administrators.
             h.   Refers problems requiring outside contractors to IT Administrators.
             i.    Assists in administering the agency local area network (LAN), diagnosing common network problems, as instructed by the IT Administrator.
             j.    Establishes network users, user environment and directories, as instructed by the IT Administrators.
             k.   Provides users with network technical support responding to the needs and questions of end users regarding their access to resources on the network.
             l.    Provides installation, upgrading and configuration of network printing, directory structures, rights, security and software on file servers and other platforms managed by KHDS.
             m.  Assist in maintaining inventory, warranties, and licensing information for all software/hardware.
2.     Assist with the maintenance of KHDS facilities and vehicles.
             a.   Work as a team with the Facility and Fleet Manager to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish tasks on a daily basis as
             b.   Work independently on assigned tasks to ensure all maintenance and moving requests are completed as efficiently as possible.
             c.   Assist with managing the Maintenance and Moving Tracker System.
             d.   Assist with the moving of household and office furniture.
             e.   Assist with setting up and taking down agency events.
             f.   Pick up bulk food orders and distribute to residential homes as needed.
             g.   Maintain the grounds surrounding the main offices and each residential facility, including snow removal, providing, and spreading salt, landscaping, and emptying ashcan and garbage cans as needed.
             h.   Assist with maintaining an inventory of tools, furniture, and agency property in an organized, accessible manner.
             i.    Assist with organizing all furniture to ensure ease of access in the storage space and to maintain donated furniture in good condition.

QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma required. Associate Degree in Information Technology from an accredited college or university preferred.
1.     Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in the English language.
2.     Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with good driving record.
3.     Must carry own auto insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 coverage.
4.     Ability to give and accept feedback as a part of a team.
5.     Ability to traverse within the workspace and community frequently.
6.     Experience in Information Technology a plus.
7.     Patience in troubleshooting and problem solving highly variable issues.
8.     Experience with, and propensity to learn working with and maintaining a wide range of software and hardware solutions.
9.     Strong organizational skills.
