Job Description - IT Applications Manager

IT Applications Manager - HR / Workforce Systems

Location: Millsboro, DE
Schedule: Full-Time

Job Overview

The IT Applications Manager - HR will provide leadership and technical oversight for HR and workforce management systems, including Kronos. This role serves as a technology partner to business leaders, ensuring systems and applications effectively support organizational goals and operational efficiency.

This position manages enterprise applications related to HR and workforce operations, oversees IT application staff, and contributes to strategic planning, operational decisions, and continuous system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technology recommendations to HR and operations leadership to improve systems and processes.
Manage internal staff, vendors, and service providers supporting HR and workforce management applications.
Maintain strong understanding of business processes to ensure technology solutions deliver maximum value.
Support IT leadership with budgeting, forecasting, financial reconciliation, vendor management, and procurement.
Lead and monitor application-related projects, ensuring adherence to project management best practices and SDLC standards.
Configure, maintain, and support third-party applications used by HR and workforce teams.
Ensure HR and workforce systems operate efficiently, securely, and meet organizational needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technology field
5+ years managing business application support and operations
3+ years managing technical teams
Experience with Oracle HCM required
Experience supporting HR systems and workforce management platforms such as Kronos
Experience working with vendors and managing enterprise software solutions
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
