IT Asset Process Analyst

POSITION: IT Asset Process Analyst

Hybrid 2-3 days in office

Onsite visits to M1 Data center (commuting distance from this office)

This role is higher level than the SAM analyst. With the SAM analyst role, I am looking for someone to perform the day-to-day SAM work with the major vendors as well as review the SAM procedures and provide input for improvements.

The Process Analyst role will be responsible for

- Day to day hw asset management work

- taking all input from the team, stakeholders, and business drivers

- working with me to prioritize gaps for remediation

- work with me to upate process/procedures, implement changes, and establish governance & performance analysis

There will be a focus on what will be needed to get us through a DC migration, but will touch on all ITAM and CMDB also.

SUMMARY

The IT Asset Process Analyst is responsible for managing the CLIENT'S IT Asset Management processes for hardware and software assets as well as maintaining process and procedures for touch points with other ITSM processes (i.e. Configuration, Change, Incident, Problem Management). This entails reporting on compliance to the ITAM and CMDB processes as well as maintenance of best practice standards, systems and KPI ??s associated with the ITAM processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for overall definition, execution and improvement of the IT Asset Management Lifecycle capabilities (People, Process and technologies) process across the enterprise

?

Recommends process goals and responsible for achieving overall goals of the process

?

Works with the Process Owner to shape the overall direction of the process and report execution at a governance level

?

Implements and maintains IT Asset Management standards and processes in line with the goals of the enterprise

?

Responsible to ensure that the IT Asset Management Lifecycle is fit for purpose and available to those who need access; Identify risks and issues in the process and its systems

?

Responsible to ensure the process integrates with other ITSM processes (i.e. Configuration, Change, Incident, Problem Management)

?

Influences process adherence within each functional organization

?

Ensures execution and coordination of various functions and work activities across all levels of IT Asset Management

?

Facilitate teams to critically review current processes for effectiveness, quality and simplification

?

Raises awareness and competency in the company via training and awareness events

?

Evaluates, and decides on issues escalated from other process managers and stakeholders within the process

?

Maintains the system of record for process and procedure and associated metrics/KPI ??s

?

Ensure integrity of ITAM & CMDB Data and integrations with the IT Asset Discovery Tools

?

Ensures compliance with process standards and policies

?

Develop and improve process workflow and design in compliance with standards and any regulatory requirements

?

Accountable for implementation and ongoing maturity and improvement of the enterprise process

?

Identifies opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains

?

Liaise with other functions to establish quality improvement

?

Provide technical expertise and support for projects and audits

?

Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Asset Management data information

REQUIREMENTS - MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

?

5-10 years of experience with IT Asset Management

?

Proven conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills, ability to communicate sound technical advice to clients, managers and technical staff

?

Strong knowledge of asset management processes and procedures

?

Strong understanding of server and network software licensing and desktop hardware/software

?

Able to work both independently as well as collaboratively achieving results within established timeframes with minimal supervision

?

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments supporting business as usual, user request as well as special projects

?

Able to effectively communicate and display a professional, mature attitude in dealing with internal customers, management and personnel across the organization

?

Working knowledge of Interface of ITAM processes with CMDB

?

Experienced working with ITAM Tools like BMC Client Management (Foot Prints), BMC Discovery (ADDM), Remedy, Flexera and BDNA

?

Experienced with Visio and process mapping methodologies

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, TRAINING

?

Bachelor ??s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or related and relevant experience

?

ITIL V3 Foundations Certification (preferred but not required)
