Position Overview

The Client Technology Analyst role is a forward-thinking, customer focused individual with strong technical skills and business acumen.   The Client Technology Analyst has an enterprise focus and is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Client Technology strategy.  The individual is expected to actively engage with business and IT leaders to develop an effective understanding of business and technology service needs.  This position must be technical with current “hands-on” client and end user device system support experience. The position This position will require an ability to foster strong partnership with IT, business, and third-party stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Lead development and execution of the Client Technology lifecycle including, but not limited to client patch management; software deployment; image management; mobility management; enterprise collaboration solutions; IT asset and client license management, and device management CMDB implementation.
  • Develop and maintain Client Technology roadmap and plans for implementation.
  • Work with cross-functional IT team to ensure Client Technology model and roadmap interlock effectively with other enterprise IT strategies and business needs.
  • Responsible for the lifecycle management of employee collaboration technologies including mobile devices digital signage devices, conference room technologies, Google Workspace, O365.
  • Account management administration and support for AD, File shares, etc.
  • Provide capabilities and services for backup and restore of client devices and data.
  • Manage effective relationships with 3rd party service and technology providers in addition to other IT functions in order to effectively and efficiently deliver the defined scope of services.
  • Take ownership for resolution of events or issues with any service for which the Client Technology Analyst has responsibility. This includes interaction with and assisting end users, troubleshooting technical problems and providing guidance to other IT functions.
  • Provide support for employee phone systems and ensure lifecycle management of phone software and hardware.
  • Develop standards and deployment and lifecycle management of client compute devices including laptops, iPads, and cell phones.
  • Document all SOP’s and client technology standards and mentor Client Technology Analyst backup resource.
  • Prioritize assignments to ensure efficient operation based on roadmaps, objectives and priorities.
  • Remain knowledgeable in and enthused about IT client technology standards, industry trends, developments and best practices.
  • Provide support for on-premise building management systems including video camera software and capabilities in support of business security needs.
  • Identify potential cost savings in technology, solutions and/or processes while meeting or exceeding customer experience needs.
  • Execution of the Client Technology lifecycle strategy, including, but not limited to client patch management; Printer solutions, E-Fax Solutions, client software deployment and upgrades (e.g. Sentinel One, Datto, VPN, Office, etc.); OS upgrades and image management; user endpoint device management, and collaboration solution platforms such as Conference Room Technologies, Google Workspace, Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Effectively engage enterprise teams, SMEs, and/or business partners to assist in creation and proposal of client technology designs, standards, and solutions that deliver high value to the business.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of enterprise networking and client device experience is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Apple iOS and Android operating systems.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • ITIL certification is preferred.
  • MCSE or equivalent certification preferred.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • A strong knowledge of networks, PCs, peripheral equipment, notebooks, tablets, mobile phones and other “Smart” client devices
  • Working experience in managing end user devices via tools such as SCCM, Intune, or Workspace ONE
  • Working experience in patch management of Microsoft Windows devices
  • Working experience with Microsoft’s on premise and Azure Active Directory
  • Working experience in creating and maintaining images for either an enterprise or large corporation
  • Working experience in PowerShell and other scripting languages
  • An ability to keep current with IT trends, developments and industry best practices specifically related to client systems and devices
  • An ability to excel within a collaborative and cross-functional working environment.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and an ability to influence others.
  • An ability to communicate technical information effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • An ability to present ideas in concise, business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • An ability to lead projects on an enterprise level.
