IT Communications Specialist - Hiring Immediately

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for an IT Communications Specialist with change management experience. This is a contract hire opportunity located in Atlanta GA. The position is remote however local candidates are preferred.

Pay up to $55/hour

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• As a team member or individually, participates in the development of conferences, instructive seminars, presentations and speeches for community and civic organizations and the general public
• Identifies main client groups and audiences and determines the best way to communicate
• Assists with identifying, developing and evaluating communication strategy based on characteristics, costs and markup factors
• Serves as a resource in the development and implementation of IT communications
• Designs, sharpens and focuses the message pertaining to the agency, unit and department and uses print or other media to communicate the message
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with area business community, internal and external agency customers and other related contacts
• May produce and distribute informational material in a variety of media
• Plans and coordinates meetings and special events
• Responds to routine inquiries about the organization by answering questions or directing them to the appropriate party; researches answers to questions
• In partnership with NextGen Change Management Lead and Communications Lead, develop communication plans for project workstream-specific efforts for internal and external project stakeholders
• Write communication drafts and vet through approval process
• Develop presentations and supporting imagery
• Track plan activity detail and progress to evaluate effectiveness and plan forward
• Experience drafting communications for technology projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field from an accredited college

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience working in a communications position, drafting written content and creating effective presentations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience drafting talking points and speeches
• Ability to create strong presentations with accurate content and appealing visuals in PowerPoint
• Experience posting, writing content for websites
• Basic analytic and problem-solving skills
• Experience as a SharePoint or Intranet administrator / contributor
