THE POSITION
We're looking for a full-time IT Deployment & Inventory Technician, based in-house with occasional travel to client sites. In this role, you'll be responsible for imaging, configuring, and preparing hardware for new client onboarding, re-onboarding, and day-to-day equipment needs. You'll make sure every device that goes out the door is set up right, tracked accurately, and ready for the client the moment it arrives. Learn more about our culture, perks, and benefits at www.ocs.help/careers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Imaging & Configuration
Image, configure, and test workstations, laptops, and devices using MDT and company imaging standards.
Prepare equipment for client onboarding/re-onboarding projects, ensuring devices are ready ahead of scheduled deployment dates.
Troubleshoot imaging or configuration issues before equipment ships or is installed.
Installation & Deployment
Install and set up hardware for onboarding/re-onboarding, and day-to-day customer requests — including occasional on-site visits.
Coordinate with technical and account teams to confirm deployment timelines and client-specific requirements.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate records of equipment in stock, in progress, and deployed, using in-house inventory systems.
Track serial numbers, asset tags, and device assignments across clients.
Monitor inventory levels and flag reorder needs before equipment runs short.
Documentation & Quality
Keep client documentation current and accurate for every device deployed.
Log and track work through the ticketing system, following standard imaging and setup checklists to ensure consistency across every deployment.
Identify opportunities to improve or streamline the imaging/deployment process.
Qualifications
Experience with imaging tools (MDT or similar), hardware setup, or IT deployment — or strong aptitude and willingness to learn.
Comfortable with repetitive, detail-heavy work — accuracy matters more than speed here.
Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and OS-level issues.
Organized, with the ability to track multiple devices/projects at once.
Comfortable learning and using MDT, FreshDesk, ITGlue, Hudu, and internal systems.
Willing to travel occasionally for client-site installs.
Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
WE CAN'T DO WHAT WE DO WITHOUT YOU
This role drives our mission forward by making sure every client starts strong — with equipment that's imaged right, set up right, and ready to go from day one.
