JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to an IT Director, responsible for managing and maintaining technological solutions, ensuring the operation and protection of county devices, data, networks, and servers. Level III of III Engineers.

Develops and recommends solutions, improvements, standards, and internal processes to efficiently and cost effectively meet technology needs Documents and develops standards/procedures/strategies/scripts that maximize the functionality and reliability of platforms while minimizing downtime Evaluates and provides recommendations to management on the selection of equipment, services, and vendors Provides operations support by monitoring system performance Takes lead role in working closely with all teams on issue resolution Coordinates with team members, other staff, customers, and vendors on projects Attends all meetings and trainings, as required Performs special duties as assigned Security Assignment
Manages security protocols and enforcement across network edge, internal devices, and managed external devices and/or services, as well as 3rd party hosted services Manages security protocols and enforcement across cloud infrastructure Analyzes security risks and needs of the cloud infrastructure Provides and maintains security on connections to the wide-area network Monitors and enforces security protocols on endpoints and devices Manages virus protection and remediation software, intrusion detection, and prevention devices Manages Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections and remote access tools Configures and manages device and transport encryption, data-loss prevention, packet inspection, and other related systems Provides escalated technical consulting and support services related to security issues Researches and recommends security enhancements to senior ITS staff Conducts user education campaigns ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, repetitive motions, standing, and occasional lifting/carrying ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in a related field and five (5) years of job-related experience; or seven (7) years of job-related experience Possess and maintain a personally-owned mobile device capable of receiving calls, text messages, and emails
Bachelor's degree in a related field Industry certification in area of assignment EMPLOYMENT TESTING
