IT Field Engineer

Position Summary

Installs new and/or expands existing personal computer based systems. Determines required software and hardware in conjunction with end users.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Programs or selects suitable software to meet user requirements.
• Installs new and maintains existing hardware.
• Provides problem-solving support to customer users.
• Develops and maintains telecommunications systems.
• May train users in use of equipment.
• Job Tasks must be finished in a timely manner according to department standards.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Advanced knowledge of computer applications.
• Excellent technical, complex problem solving, interpersonal, oral & written communication skills.
• Technical certifications desirable.

• Required Natural Behaviors

• Be able to work in a fast paced environment.

• Required Education and Work Experience

   

• Associates degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4-6 years work experience in IT.
