IT FinOps Analyst - 52627 - Growth-Minded Organization

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our largest clients for a position of IT FinOps Analyst, to work in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations to gather low-level FinOps-related process details, including technical aspects.
• Maintain a mindset of constantly seeking opportunities for process optimization, including automation, and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Create process models and visualizations using Microsoft Visio to document FinOps-related processes.
• Utilize strong technical writing skills to produce documentation and reports in Microsoft Word.
• Develop metric and KPI documentation to track and measure FinOps performance.
• Explore data to identify insights and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Manage backlogs in Azure DevOps for lightweight bi-weekly scrums, utilizing backlog management techniques.
• Build SharePoint document libraries, custom lists, pages, etc., to support FinOps documentation and collaboration efforts.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience creating process models and visualizations in Microsoft Visio.
• Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience in creating metric & KPI documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level, no VBA).
• Ability to manage backlogs in Azure DevOps for lightweight bi-weekly scrums.
• Experience building SharePoint document libraries and custom lists.
• Highly inquisitive and proactive-thinking mindset.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and gather detailed process information.
• Intermediate knowledge of FinOps Foundation framework.
• Understanding of Azure cost optimization assessments and levers for optimization.

Desired Skills:

• Any FinOps Foundation certification is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization (1+ years preferred).
• Experience writing SQL statements (1+ years preferred).
• AZ-900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) certification and other Azure certifications.
• Certified Scrum Master (CRM) certification.
• Experience managing backlogs in Azure DevOps (1+ years preferred).
• Familiarity with Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
• Experience developing Microsoft Power Apps and building Power Automate workflows.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Lead FinOps efforts, including continual improvement of FinOps Foundation capabilities and facilitating cost savings initiatives.
• Conduct FinOps-related process performance assessments and contribute to periodic collaborative huddle-ups.
• Assist with FinOps-related process and metrics documentation, including ad hoc data analyses.
• Support the Director of FinOps in building and shaping the function.
• Serve as Scrum Master, leading the management of the FinOps DevOps backlog.
