Job Description - IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Issues Analyst

**This position is a hybrid position. On-site days will be required (M, T, W for Milwaukee; Thurs + one other day for NYC)



What's the job?

As an IT GRC Issues Analyst, you will oversee and ensure the effective management of the IT issue lifecycle at NM, play a vital role in tracking, remediating and reporting identified risks within the organization, and collaborate with key stakeholders across the three lines of defense to address issues promptly and effectively. You will be required to participate in iterative process improvements to help mature issue management lifecycle processes, help ensure the integrity and security of our organization's systems and processes.

You hold yourself to a high standard, proactively working to attain/enhance pertinent industry knowledge.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Issue Tracking and Documentation: Work within centralized system for tracking and documenting all identified issues and ensuring accurate up to date information is available for analysis and reporting.


Conduct thorough assessments of identified issues, evaluating their potential impact, root cause and associated risks to determine appropriate action plans.


Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions and action plans to address identified issues, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.


Escalate critical issues to management when necessary, providing clear and concise reports and recommendations for decision-making and prioritization.


Prepare regular reports and updates on the status of identified issues, presenting findings to management and stakeholders and facilitating communication channels between teams involved in issue management.


Continuously assess an enhance the issue management process by identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices and leveraging automation tools where


Accountable for managing the information protection awareness and training program to motivate and inspire desired conduct. Managing information risks to aid in making appropriate investment decisions, and managing noncompliance issues to make appropriate investment decisions.





Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in MIS, Business or related field; or related work experience beyond the minimum required


Three or more years of experience in information systems or systems audit with a demonstrated knowledge in technologies and processes


Ability to assess and understand root cause and remediation strategies


Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to changing business needs by effectively managing and prioritizing concurrent assignments


Demonstrate ability to independently identify and resolve critical issues through effective problem-solving skills


Strong ability to develop and leverage relationships;


Ability to effectively influence and negotiate with key stakeholders


Excellent communication skills focused on facilitation of meetings;


Ability to deliver informative, well-organized documentation and ability to effectively communicate in difficult and/or sensitive situations

Pay Range - Start:








$63,560.00



Pay Range - End:















$118,040.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
