Our Columbus, Ohio client has a contract to hire opportunity for a IT Help Desk who provides first level support for all end-users within the Company.

• This position will first help with laptop refresh project and then taking Help Desk after
• 100 laptops left to go in refresh and 200 total
• Help Desk - Customer service background
• Comptia A+ cert is a plus
• Experience in Call center environment is advantage
• Tech experience 1-3 +years experience
• Use Service desk and pixy imaging through SCCM and working switching
• Fully onsite and once fulltime its 1 day remote flexibility.
• They look at help desk to promote people within come learn and many path this person can take within IT to grow in company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides phone support to all divisions with computer applications and hardware issues including Pivotal, Microsoft Office and JD Edwards applications.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
• Configures computer systems for all end-users. Handles installation and troubleshooting for model broadband connection issues.
• Conducts new employee classes covering basic PC functions, Outlook and CFT training. Creates documentation for new computer builds.
• Performs all other duties as required.

Minimum Education Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field and 1-3 years of experience in a help desk environment.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of general computer applications including Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems/issues.
• Detail oriented with excellent customer service skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Conditions:

• Rotating shift.
• Weekend work required.
• Travel needed occasionally.
• Some lifting may be required.
