Job Description - IT Helpdesk Technician

Summary:

Transfr, a leader in the virtual reality educational and training software industry, is currently seeking a full-time, well-rounded, onsite IT Helpdesk member who will be responsible for providing helpdesk support in a shared team environment and provide excellent service to Transfr employees and other internal staff operating remote within the United States and internationally.

Our company is scaling at hyper speed. Effective operations and robust technology frameworks are a critical component to keeping us on pace with our aggressive growth goals.  In this role, you will have a direct impact by helping us take our current processes, operational framework, and IT practices to the next level by working cohesively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced ever evolving startup environment as our first internal helpdesk hire.

 

** This role requires the ability to work from the company's Draper, Utah office.

\nResponsibilities:
  • Solve technical issues as first line support for the organization.
  • Assist setting up employees on software and hardware on-site or in a virtual setting.
  • Load software onto machines and clean machines when employees depart.
  • Create user-training manuals and procedures to help common IT questions.
  • Handle shipping and receiving of corporate IT hardware to new hires.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years working in an IT helpdesk support role, or similar working experience.
  • Experience supporting both Mac and Windows devices.
  • Customer service-related experience.
  • Hands-on computer experience. 
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • An openness to learning new technologies.
  • Exceptional technology troubleshooting skills with the ability to explain issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Great problem-solving, analytical, and team collaboration skills.
  • Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Is willing to work onsite with the team from our Utah office space a few days per week.

What We Offer:

The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $70K - $80K , with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location. In addition to salary this role will be eligible for additional company benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, and medical/dental/vision insurance.
