Cox Automotive is searching for an IT Project Manager - (Service Now) in Atlanta, GA! The IT Project Manager - (Service Now) will be responsible for leading all day to day activities of various small to largesized project(s) within the overall portfolio of the assigned technology domain. This role involves working with the leaders of release trains and scrum teams for a program track that rolls into the larger program. IT Project Manager - (Service Now) will be responsible for planning, monitoring, executing, and successfully completing projects, ensuring they meet all quality metrics and are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

This is a 6-month W2 contract assignment with the opportunity for contract extension or to transition to a permanent, full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Shift/Hours

Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager - (Service Now):
Metrics and Reporting: Facilitate, track, and report on key metrics and details at the track level, providing the PMO and Program Leadership team with the visibility and transparency needed for proactive decision-making. Aggregate information related to delivery timelines, capacity, and key risks.

Roadmap Maintenance: Collaborate with Release Train management teams and Technical Leads to maintain a roadmap that aligns with the overall Program plan.

Alignment with PMO: Work closely with the PMO to align processes, plans, and artifacts with the Program plan and milestones.

Project Management: Lead and facilitate all aspects of the project management process, including quarterly planning, project status meetings, supporting scrum teams, managing backlogs, and tracking team progress.

Project Monitoring and Control: Manage track-level milestones, scope, issues, and risks, ensuring timely corrective actions and interventions in collaboration with the business sponsor, release trains, and scrum teams.

Communication Strategies: Develop, facilitate, and implement communication strategies and plans to ensure that status, activities, accomplishments, issues, and risks are effectively communicated.

Process Leadership: Provide process leadership, direction, and support to project and scrum teams. Review team deliverables, identify opportunities for improvement, contribute to the continuous improvement of best practices, and provide thought leadership to the PPM processes.

Effective Communication: Ensure planned, regular, and effective communication of status, issues, risks, and actions among all stakeholders involved in the program.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications of the IT Project Manager - (Service Now): 7+ years of experience in project management, specifically in implementing large enterprise software systems.
Bachelor's Degree and Project Management Certification(s) or equivalent.
Strong understanding and application in stakeholder management.
Ability to build PM playbooks with a specific eye toward Software Contract Renewals.

Strong technical acumen in a software product development environment.
Knowledgable of commercial software in a company's ecosystem.
Able to quickly assess necessary information for decision-making and recognize when escalation is required, often making decisions independently.

Proficient in identifying risks and opportunities and actively managing them to resolution.

Possesses a strong understanding of Agile standards and easily aligns projects and programs with stakeholder goals.

Proficient in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Project/SmartSheet, SharePoint, Rally, or similar tools.

Workplace Environment

Hybrid in Atlanta, GA; 2 days onsite/week

Pay Range $80 - $89 per hour (Paid Weekly)
