Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems Integration:
Hands-on design integrations between internal and external systems using APIs, EDI, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
Support customer onboarding by designing integrations with customer ERP and supply chain systems.
Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure reliable data exchange.
Hands-on development following design blueprints and/or vendor specifications.
Delivery and successful roll-out of the designed solution.
Logistics Technology:
Partner with Operations, Distribution, Transportation, Customer Service, and Finance to improve business processes through technology.
Support implementation and enhancement of WMS, TMS, Yard Management, Labor Management, and ERP platforms.
Recommend automation opportunities to improve warehouse and transportation operations.
Cloud & Infrastructure:
Design and develop cloud-based and hybrid technology solutions.
Collaborate with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Support modernization initiatives leveraging Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
Technology Leadership:
Provide architectural guidance to development teams and project managers.
Review technical designs and implementation plans.
Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles and development standards.
Mentor technical staff on solution architecture best practices.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity policies and industry standards.
Incorporate identity management, encryption, logging, monitoring, and access controls into solution designs.
Participate in security reviews and risk assessments.
Vendor & Project Collaboration:
Evaluate software products and technology vendors.
Support RFPs and technology selection processes.
Participate in project planning, budgeting, and implementation activities.
Work closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to prioritize technology initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive IT experience.
5+ years in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Applications, or Technical Architecture.
